Chapter 1: Course Access and Signup
The courses have been divided into Curriculum Topics. To access the individual courses perform the following:
- Access the Secure Site Training Center by going to https://secure.txdps.state.tx.us/
- Log into the site.
- You will next be presented with a list of mandatory and optional training materials.
Chapter 2: Curriculum Topic Layout
Once you have gained access to the course, you will be presented with a list of training materials.
To access course materials, simply click on the item name.
NOTE: You must have pop-up blockers turned off for this site. Methods for disabling common pop-up blockers can be found in the Pop-up Blocker Setup section of this site:

Chapter 3: Course Navigation
Upon selecting a course to review, a new window will open with a wait screen. Once the course has loaded, a button titled Start Course will appear.
Once inside the course, you will be presented with an objectives page. To begin the course, click Next button on the navigation bar.
The following navigation elements will be available during the course.

Chapter 4: Course Layout
In general the courses will consist of content pages, learning checks, a feedback form and instructions on accessing the assessment.
Content Pages
As the name implies, content pages contain the course information. Content pages can consist of text, graphics, video or demonstrations.
Learning Checks
Learning checks are interactive pages used to assist you in gauging your understanding of the course materials. Learning checks are not graded. A learning check will be in the form of a multiple choice question, true / false or a text entry.
Chapter 5: Assessments
Once you have completed the course materials, you will take a short assessment exam. The assessment will consist of multiple choice and true / false questions.
Once you have successfully completed the assessment with a score of
80 or above, you will be presented an opportunity to print a certificate
of completion. Please print this for your records.
If the course is mandatory for a program, you will be given immediate
access to the necessary functions after successfully completing the
quiz.
